Insta-Inspiration For Your Content Marketing

instagram @alexmackayonline

Instagram inspiration for your content marketing. I have a thriving Instagram account and it’s one of my favourite mediums for interacting with the world. It isn’t all about content marketing though. I often post an inspirational quote with a great picture to put a smile on a few people’s faces. As a result, I hope it gives someone the spark they need to get going.

You can develop your own style of Instagram post to catch people’s eye. Remember to use hashtags and to link back to your business website in your profile. Certainly, you also benefit from following plenty of other people and double-tapping if you like something. You’re most likely to use the social media you understand and prefer so, if that’s Instagram, get posting.

I’m going to expand on a few of the quotes I’ve posted recently to give them a bit more context from a content marketing perspective.

There is no spoon

Spoon feeding, in the long run, teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon.

To be sure, when you are starting out, or when you reach a plateau, it’s not always easy to have super-high levels of confidence. During those times, it’s tempting to keep imbibing and imitating someone else’s ideas. Don’t get me wrong, mentors have a strong place in any business development strategy. At some point though, you need to move to the leading edge to succeed. If you don’t, you’ll always be a follower when you have the capacity to be a leader.

Let your mind run free

I never make any of my discoveries through the process of rational thinking.

Albert Einstein

If you want inspiration to strike, you need to give yourself a bit of processing time away from the online world. For example, I sometimes get my best ideas when I’m drifting off on a night or out walking around in the Wiltshire countryside. Read the books, watch the YouTube tutorials and digest the marketing articles. After that, give yourself space for a bit of free-form thinking. There are tricks, like brainstorming or mind maps, that you can use to give your process a boost.

Prioritise

Ask yourself this question: will this matter a year from now?

Richard Carlson

It’s easy to get frustrated when you hit a roadblock or spend a lot of time on something that doesn’t turn out to be useful. That’s the moment when you need to get some perspective and ask yourself the question above otherwise you waste even more time on negative thoughts. In most cases, you might find that the simple act of interrogating your automatic thought processes will make them slide away.
